Modalities I use:

  • Narrative Therapy is a therapeutic practice that involves self-reflective exercises to externalize challenges, barriers, or events of our lives (the narratives we tell ourselves) in order to examine them objectively.

    This externalization process helps us see the problems outside of ourselves, which invites a level of self-awareness often lost when we’re in the height of our personal problems. In This therapy work we address your ability to believe it is critical for you to see yourself separate from your barriers.

    Narrative therapy is non-blaming in nature in order to make the problems of our lives more manageable to overcome. This practice recognizes the client as the expert, and an accountable and integral part of the way their future will unfold. Narrative therapy for this reason, isn’t concerned with diagnoses and a therapist merely guides the individual in the healing process.

  • Relational therapy is a type of talk therapy that draws on the psychodynamic therapeutic approach. Central to the relational therapy approach is the idea that we are shaped by our social world and relationships, and that having good relationships is essential for our wellbeing and self-esteem

  • Somatic attachment therapy offers a holistic, body-centered method to healing relational wounds and trauma. This extraordinary model offers a collection of practical tools that guides the healing process for yourself and relationships with others

  • As an anti-racist therapist, it is important to me to be a gate-opener rather than a gate-keeper in gender affirming healthcare. I use an Informed Consent Model in providing letters for trans and non-binary people to access the care they desire.

A comprehensive and integrative approach means that I balance expanding insights from our past narratives with learning new skills and making behavior changes in the present.

Many people come to therapy having experienced trauma of various kinds.

I utilize a relationship and narrative-based treatment modality called rooted in thoughtful attention and care to the necessary resourcing required for expansive healing.

I also utilize Somatic Experiencing – which is described as a gentle approach to healing trauma that helps to restore our bodies' natural ability to self-regulate, transforming trauma responses such as flight/flight/freeze/appease into renewed trust, peacefulness and social engagement.

These practices aid individuals in the ability to newly listen to the necessary  information stored in our bodies about past traumas, current strengths, and resilience. My therapeutic practice offers powerful tools to explore the impacts of trauma resulting from systems of oppression (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.) while simultaneously supporting your process to change the oppressive systems we are a part of. In the therapeutic process and journey we will partner in the  internal, somatic healing and external stressors.

My therapeutic style, teaching framework, and consulting practices is grounded in my commitment to integrating anti-oppression and deconstruction practices and how intersectional forms of oppression on a micro and macro level.  we will unpack the impacts that racism, sexism, classism, able-ism, homophobia, transphobia, and other narratives of oppression based on social group identity you belong to and how these have shaped the symptoms of trauma you have experienced. 


​My style is engaging, connected, relational, and partnered. At the individuals request, I utilize between-session homework assignments and suggest relevant readings, so that your learning and growth can continue between our therapy appointments.
